What We Do

Ask The Clinician provides clinical supervision (for individuals and groups) to social workers in need of clinical hours toward the SW license exam. Consulting services for concerns regarding supervision and ethical dilemmas faced in the workplace. Test Preparation tutoring to help pass the ASWB state exam. 

Who We Train

Master’s and Advance Generalist level clinicians who wish to acquire the necessary 100 supervision hours to satisfy the MD state licensure requirements.

Bachelors and Master's level clinicians preparing for the MD state exam.

How We Help

We provide the state mandatory hours for supervision within 12 to 24 months, consulting on policies and procedures mandated by Maryland state and we provide the educational tools needed to pass the ASWB state exam for masters and clinical level exams.

Meet Your Clinicians

On a supervisory level, Cassandra has over 10 years of Supervisory and Administrative experience. As an Executive Director for a local non-profits in the Mount Vernon N.Y. area, jump started her career where she created programs, started after-school programs, summer programs and summer camps. Also, working in the heart of NYC’s 125th at the Harlem Children’s zone and then moving over to foster care at St. Dominic’s as an administrator at both places mentioned. Cassandra has built, fostered and supervised many professional on Bachelors and Master’s level. 


Clinically, Cassandra has worked in a range of non-profits that serviced individuals that are dealing with one or more issues in their lives. Currently Cassandra works in the inner city of Baltimore, at an elementary school, where she is the school social worker. She has over 15 years of community, social educational and medical experience in the field of social work.  Some of these areas include the following:


•    HIV+/AIDS population.
•    Homelessness.
•    Alcohol and substance abuse/addiction.
•    Gambling.
•    Community Organizing and Planning

Education

Cassandra has two decades worth of experience in the field of social work and holds the following licenses:


•    Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) for the state of Maryland - #20517
•    Licensed Master’s Social Worker for the state of New York - # 085739


She is also a 2006 graduate of Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work, where she received her Master’s Degree in social work. In addition, Cassandra has a Post Graduate Certificate in Forensic Psychology, obtained from John Jay College of Community Justice.” 

I was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Maryland twelve years ago. I am experienced in individual therapy while treating those who suffer from anxiety, depression ADHD, behavioral disorders, health & wellness, body image, self esteem and women's issues. I have worked in a variety of different settings including a community mental health agency, school based therapy, intensive outpatient program and a group practice. 

 

I love being able to teach those who want to learn more and will provide them with consultation and/ or supervision to be able to achieve those goals. I have been helping new social workers gain more knowledge in the field through a variety of settings. 

 

In addition to the work that I do as a social worker, I am very active in the fitness community. I am a certified personal trainer as well as a Crossfit coach for both adults and children. Through this work, I have been able to incorporate fitness and nutrition into the practice along with mental health. 

Education

I received my Masters of Social Work from Rutgers School of Social Work in 2008. I am an LCSW-C that has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families and groups in various outpatient settings. I am a MD Board of Social Work approved supervisor for those that are working toward their own licensure.

Our Mission

At Ask The Clinician, our mission is to help clinicians obtain the necessary the state mandated clinical hours to become a LCSW or LCSW-C. We provide the educational tools needed to teach and foster in practice. We pride ourselves on providing strategies and customizing supervision sessions to fit each individual. We believe our supervision services and support will help with lasting advancement for current clinicians and future clinicians to follow.
